Club President Zane Beloe & Simon Collett, Director of HLS with the 2018 Jersey

Waimea Old Boys RFC are excited to announce a key sponsorship deal for the 2018 season and beyond. Home Living Solutions has signed an Agreement with the club that will see all Senior team’s names as ‘HLS Waimea Old Boys’.
The Star and Garter’s tenure as naming sponsor for the Club will discontinue at the end of 2017 and Waimea are very grateful for the commitment they have given over many years. A discussion between Club President, Zane Beloe and local businessman, Simon Collett, about shared values and community engagement developed into a new, long term sponsorship agreement with Home Living Solutions.
HLS is a group of four local businessmen who have been, and are, significantly involved in creating a number of residential developments within the Tasman region. One development “The Meadows” will be the largest single development ever seen in the region. The Meadows is planned for the West side of Waimea’s home ground and will comprise > 650 plus new homes over a period of 10-15 years. HLS is a company developing land and working with a preferred builder network to supply a range of cost effective new home solutions in the Nelson region. This model of providing house & land packages makes the process of buying and building more streamlined thereby reducing costs and timeframe for the purchaser.

The HLS group is made up of Directors; Simon Collett – Jennian and Milestone Homes, Andrew Spittal – Ching Contracting, Graham Vercoe – GJ Gardiner Homes, and Gary Donaldson – Donaldson Civil.

Two of the Directors, Andrew and Simon, are former Waimea players having been part of Waimea Old Boys Senior Championship sides. It is great to see these previous players wanting to give back to a club that gave to them.

The Vercoe family have also had a strong connection with Waimea Old Boys over many years, going as far back as Grahams father Dale. While Gary has not played for Waimea Old Boys, he has had a strong involvement with Zane in the first stages of his working life, working alongside Zane at Telecom before venturing out into the very successful business he runs today.

The long-term nature of the Agreement provides security to the club and enables Waimea Old Boys to plan ahead with confidence. The Club’s Purpose is to provide opportunities to players, coaches, members, and the community. This appeals to HLS who are fully supportive of the positive progress the Club is making in this area.

Waimea Old Boys sincerely thank HLS for choosing to join the Waimea Old Boys family, and will endeavour to make sure this partnership is a long and happy one for all parties.
